Air Fryer Ribs

Welcome back! As you have read in my previous posts, I love using my Instant Pot for many meals. It’s just so much quicker and easier to cook when you’re in a hurry. Plus, I don’t like heating up my house in the summertime. I bought the air fryer attachment for my pot (had a small one and I used it so much, it died on me!) and I love that, too. No need to have extra appliances taking up spaces. I came across a recipe for air frying baby back ribs (there’s quite a few out there, but I loved this one from Aaron and Claire) but this one was easiest. I adjusted as needed for my air fryer and whatever I had on hand. I couldn’t wait to try it. I made a few modifications with what I have on hand. Serves 4-6. Here’s what you’ll need:

A few of the ingredients

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs. Pork Baby back Ribs
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. white or red wine
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder

1.Remove the membrane from bottom of the ribs because it isn’t tasty and will be tough if you don’t.

2. Cut up ribs into single servings so as to be able to fit in you air fryer and turn when needed. Clean/soak rids in water then pat dry with paper towels.

3. Mix all the ingredients together and marinate the ribs for at least 30 minutes in the fridge. If you want a little more flavor, you can do it the night before.

4. Preheat sir fryer to 355 degrees. Now place as many ribs as will fit into fry in one layer and cook for 10 minutes. After ten minutes, turn and cook for abut another 10 minutes. Be sure to check ribs, as cooking and temp times are different for each fryer to make sure you don’t burn them. I used the Instant pot air fryer lid.

5. After that, let ribs rest for about 5-10 minutes. You can eat as is or serve it with your favorite barbeque sauce.

I was pretty impressed the wat these came out. I didn’t think it would be possible to air fry ribs, but I was proven wrong. I didn’t use any sauce over the ribs because I don’t think it needed it but if you have a favorite, you can definitely use it. I suggest you try these, especially if you don’t have access to a grill. This is a tasty treat you can enjoy year round. Thank you for stopping and and Buen provecho!
