This salmon is a super simple version. Requires just a few ingredients and air fryer. I use the Instant Pot Air Fryer attachment. Keeping the spices simples allows to bring out the fresh flavor of the salmon. The air fryer eliminates the need for pan frying or baking. Here’s my process.
Ingredients
- One 1.5-2 lb. salmon fillet, cut into four equal portions
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 ground pepper
- 1-2 tbsp. olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Non stick spray
1. Rub oil over the top if the salmon and then add the salt and pepper over top.

2. Spray fryer basket with non stick spray to coat the bottom.
3. Pre-heat air fryer to 400 degrees. Set the timer for 7-8 minutes. I did 8 minutes, as pictured.

4. Place fillets so they fit and have space. I made 2 at a time. Set it and forget it. Once the timing cycle is over, check for doneness. The temperature should read 145 degrees. The salmons are ready to serve immediately.

Squirt lemon over the fillets and serve with desired side dish. I served mine with some cucumber sauce and cilantro lemon rice that I made. They all complemented each other.
